Scan to share From November 12 to 14, the 4th China Nuclear Energy High-Quality Development Conference and Shenzhen International Nuclear Energy Industry Innovation Expo were held in Shenzhen, Guangdong. Under the theme of “Nuclear Power Converges in the Greater Bay Area, Energizing the World,” this year’s Nuclear Expo established an industrial exchange platform for cooperation and mutual benefit. During the conference, a keynote forum themed “Digital Intelligence Drives and Innovation Leads the High-Quality Development of Nuclear Energy” and more than ten academic forums were held. During the event, the China Electric Power Development Promotion Association and China National Nuclear Corporation jointly hosted a sub-forum titled “Unlimited Nuclear Power for High-Quality Marine Development.” Representatives from the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Water Resources, relevant authoritative institutions, local governments, and upstream and downstream enterprises in the nuclear energy industry attended the event. Focusing on cutting-edge topics such as nuclear power safety and the development of nuclear power plant sites on islands, the event aimed to build an integrated innovation system combining “nuclear technology + marine economy,” actively practice development through the sea and strengthening through the sea, and respond to the call for building a “New Maritime Guangdong.”
At the same time, at the Shenzhen International Nuclear Energy Industry Innovation Expo, CNNC presented its exhibition under the theme of “Unlimited Nuclear Power · Co-creating the Future,” with “New Maritime CNNC” as a highlight, comprehensively showcasing the integrated strength of the full nuclear industry chain and eight core advantages of China’s nuclear industry. The exhibition area not only highlighted CNNC’s responsibility as a leading enterprise in the nuclear industry—playing a core role in serving the advancement of Chinese modernization, supporting the implementation of the national nuclear energy “three-step” development strategy, and assisting the construction of Maoming’s zero-carbon industry—but also showcased CNNC’s cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements in the comprehensive utilization and development of nuclear energy and the digital transformation of the nuclear industry.
This year’s exhibition focused on “New Maritime CNNC,” with concentrated displays of achievements in uranium extraction from seawater, nuclear fuel, engineering construction, floating reactors, and more. As one of the core exhibits in the exhibition area, the planning sand table of the Maoming Zero-Carbon Industrial Park attracted widespread attention as soon as it was unveiled. With Hualong One and the high-temperature gas-cooled reactor as the core of its zero-carbon energy supply, the industrial park provides a globally innovative model for the coupled development of nuclear energy and the petrochemical industry. It has established itself as a demonstration brand for green energy solutions in industrial parks and serves as a model project for implementing the “new development philosophy.”
At the exhibition, CNNC’s “8+N” modern industrial system, Hualong One, Linglong One, integrated fast reactor, the next-generation artificial sun “China Circulation-3,” and other advanced nuclear energy technological achievements, together with a variety of representative nuclear technology application products, were showcased. During the exhibition, CNNC’s booth was bustling with visitors. Through models, multimedia interactions, videos, graphic display panels, and other formats, it provided an immersive experience for on-site audiences and attracted large numbers of visitors to stop, watch, and exchange ideas.
