Japan Nuclear Security System Introduces SmartHR to Advance Centralized HR Data Management

On August 5, SmartHR Inc. announced that Japan Nuclear Security System Co., Ltd. has adopted its back-office system "SmartHR" for personnel and organizational management, to promote paperless HR operations and centralized employee information management.

Japan Nuclear Security System, headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, provides comprehensive security services for nuclear-related facilities, particularly nuclear power plants, through a combination of mechanical security and personnel security. One of the direct reasons for introducing the new system is that the company's existing HR system has ceased support, necessitating the selection of a replacement.

Previously, Japan Nuclear Security System managed employee information across multiple systems, making it difficult to continuously accumulate and uniformly utilize data; some HR processes still relied on paper documents, which also affected operational efficiency. The company stated that it chose SmartHR primarily for its ease of operation and its ability to apply employee information more broadly through talent management functions.

As planned, Japan Nuclear Security System will leverage SmartHR to advance paperless operations, improve processing efficiency for onboarding, employment contracts, attendance, and payroll-related processes, and build an HR data platform that enables centralized storage, updating, and utilization of employee information. In the future, the company intends to use the relevant data for talent management initiatives such as staffing, training arrangements, and skills management.

During the system implementation process, Japan Nuclear Security System also re-evaluated its existing business processes. A company representative stated that SmartHR provided recommendations for the new processes, helping the project proceed more efficiently. The representative also expressed expectations that SmartHR will continue to incorporate user feedback and improve its features to further enhance system usability.

SmartHR Inc., headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, is operated by Representative Director and CEO Masato Serizawa. The company states that SmartHR digitizes labor management processes such as employment contracts, onboarding, attendance, and payroll calculation, and supports talent allocation and talent development through employee data accumulated in the system. Its app store service "SmartHR Plus" also allows for function expansion based on corporate needs and enables data integration.
