Shanghai Electric Southwest Regional Headquarters Unveiled in Chengdu, Government-Enterprise-Research Collaboration Builds a New Hub for Green Energy

On August 6, the unveiling ceremony of the Southwest Regional Headquarters of Shanghai Electric Group was held in Chengdu. Jin Xiaolong, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shanghai Electric, attended the event and delivered a speech. More than 200 representatives from relevant government departments of Sichuan Province, Chengdu City and the Southwest region, the Shanghai Office in Tibet, key enterprises, research institutes, industry associations, as well as heads of relevant functional departments of Shanghai Electric headquarters and various industrial groups, participated in the event.

The newly unveiled Southwest Regional Headquarters will be based in Chengdu, radiating to Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou and Tibet, positioned as a collaboration platform for the regional market, a service hub for industrial upgrading, and a connecting vehicle for ecosystem co-building, integrating Shanghai Electric's comprehensive advantages in energy equipment and green intelligent industry to support the green energy transition and industrial upgrading of the Southwest region.

In his speech, Jin Xiaolong stated that Shanghai Electric has for many years deeply participated in the optimization of energy structures, the construction of new power systems, and industrial upgrading in southwestern provinces, with a solid foundation of cooperation with the Southwest region. From world-class hydropower projects in the Jinsha River and Yalong River basins, to the construction of the Sichuan-Chongqing UHV backbone grid; from complete equipment supply for plateau wind power and mountain photovoltaic projects, to technical demonstrations of pumped storage and new energy storage, Shanghai Electric has continuously supported the construction of energy infrastructure in the Southwest with high-end equipment and services.

During the event, Shanghai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Equipment (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. and the Southwest Regional Center of Shanghai Electric Nuclear Power Group were unveiled simultaneously, marking the formation of Shanghai Electric's regional layout of "headquarters coordination + platform support." Shanghai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Group, Environmental Protection Group, and Automation Group respectively introduced power transmission and distribution products and solutions, zero-carbon park and green fuel solutions, and integrated automation solutions, covering business areas such as UHV transmission equipment, integrated energy services for zero-carbon parks, smart power plants, and embodied intelligence.

Multiple strategic cooperation signing ceremonies were also held at the event. Shanghai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Equipment (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chengdu Wuhou District Science and Technology Association; Shanghai Electric Nuclear Power Group, Power Station Group, and Automation Group jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Nuclear Power Institute of China; and Shanghai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jiangsu Anko Intelligent Power Co., Ltd. The parties will deepen cooperation in areas such as integrated energy construction, new power systems, and nuclear power equipment.

In the future, Shanghai Electric will leverage the Southwest Regional Headquarters as a fulcrum to continuously deepen government-enterprise-research collaboration, promote the effective alignment of technological advantages with regional development needs, and provide support for the green energy transition and high-quality economic development of the Southwest region.
