Two New Members Join the "Guohe One" Industrial Chain Alliance

On the afternoon of August 20, the signing ceremony for the co-construction agreement of the "Guohe One" Industrial Chain Alliance and the exchange meeting on new nuclear materials and technologies were held at Shanghai Research Institute of Materials Co., Ltd. Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd. signed the ""Guohe One" Industrial Chain Alliance Co-construction Agreement" with Shanghai Research Institute of Materials Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Keertai Environmental Control Technology Co., Ltd., marking the official accession of the two entities to the alliance.

On the same day, the "Nuclear Power Isolation, Vibration Reduction, and Wear Reduction Equipment Localization Development Center," led by Shanghai Research Institute of Materials Co., Ltd., was officially launched. The center will focus on localization development in areas such as isolation, vibration reduction, and wear reduction for key nuclear power equipment, promoting the transformation of related technologies from research and validation to engineering application.

"Guohe One" is a third-generation advanced passive nuclear power model with fully independent intellectual property rights owned by State Power Investment Corporation Limited. In February 2022, relying on the overall technical lead unit, Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd., SPIC initiated the formation of the "Guohe One" Industrial Chain Alliance to promote the collaborative integration of innovation, talent, finance, and industrial chains. To date, the alliance has more than 170 member units.

This collaboration will focus on coordinated efforts centered on "design requirement traction, material development support, and engineering practice validation," promoting the linkage of fundamental research, material development, equipment manufacturing, and engineering application, while enhancing the stability of the supply chain for key nuclear power equipment and the capacity for localized supporting.

According to the agreement, the relevant entities will also carry out joint research and development in areas such as turbine vibration isolation. The collaboration will leverage Shanghai's strengths in fundamental research and Shandong's foundation in manufacturing transformation, promoting the synergy of industrial resources between the Yangtze River Delta and the Shandong Peninsula, providing support for the construction of the supply chain for core nuclear power components.

Shanghai Research Institute of Materials Co., Ltd. has long been engaged in research on nuclear power materials and supporting equipment, carrying out process optimization, performance validation, and engineering application work around key technical issues in nuclear power operation. After joining the "Guohe One" Industrial Chain Alliance, the company will further participate in technology development and achievement transformation in areas such as nuclear materials, isolation, vibration reduction, and wear reduction equipment.

Relevant officials from the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and the Shanghai Nuclear Power Office attended the event and witnessed the signing.
