Recently, the Swiss Nuclear Forum officially announced the establishment of a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Section, aimed at bringing together professional representatives from the pharmaceutical, medical, and scientific fields to jointly improve the framework conditions for nuclear medicine diagnosis and treatment in Switzerland, strengthen the stable supply of radionuclides, and accelerate the clinical application of innovative medical procedures.

The Section is established under the Swiss Nuclear Forum, headquartered in Olten, and will take over and continue the relevant work of the former Swiss Alliance for Innovation in Nuclear Medicine, and will build itself into a long-term industry cooperation entity. The core strategic objectives of the new Section are to eliminate political and regulatory obstacles hindering the development of nuclear medicine and to build a reliable supply chain system for radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals.

In terms of personnel appointments, Konrad von Bremen, former CEO of Swan Isotopen AG and long active in Nuclear Medicine Europe, has been selected as the head of the Nuclear Medicine Section. Von Bremen stated that the team will be fully committed to improving the policy and regulatory framework to ensure that patients can promptly access the most advanced nuclear medicine diagnostic and treatment services.

It is reported that Hans-Ulrich Bigler, President of the Swiss Nuclear Forum, pointed out that nuclear technology plays a pivotal role in modern healthcare, and the establishment of the new Section provides a unified authoritative voice platform for the Swiss nuclear medicine industry. Industry experts say that with the gradual elimination of regulatory obstacles and the consolidation of the supply network, this initiative will further enhance Switzerland's innovation competitiveness in the European medical isotope and radiopharmaceutical field.
