Rosatom RDS presented domestic high-end medical equipment in Perm to accelerate regional healthcare import substitution

On September 25, 2026, the Second International Conference "Bioethics—A Panoramic View of the Future" (Биоэтика – панорамный взгляд в будущее) successfully concluded in Perm, Russia. Rosatom RDS JSC (АО «Росатом РДС»), the industry integration platform under the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) responsible for instruments and electronic equipment manufacturing, participated deeply in this event. During the special seminar on "Ethical Considerations of the Peaceful Use of Atomic Energy in Medicine" held as part of the conference, Konstantin Nyk (Константин Нык), a representative of Rosatom RDS, delivered a keynote speech, systematically elaborating on the group's strategic collaboration pathways with Perm Krai in the healthcare sector, with a focus on promoting the clinical implementation of Russian domestically produced high-end medical devices and localized technologies in regional diagnostic and treatment systems.

During this presentation, Professor Viktor Selemir (Виктор Селемир), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, showcased on site the nitric oxide (NO) medical therapeutic device "Tianox" (Тианокс / Tianox), independently developed by the Rosatom system. The device is based on low-temperature plasma synthesis technology and can directly utilize ambient air to prepare high-purity nitric oxide inhalation gas in real time and in situ, demonstrating significant efficacy in the treatment of persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn, acute cardiopulmonary failure after cardiac surgery, and respiratory support for severe pneumonia.

Konstantin Nyk pointed out that the "Tianox" inhalation therapeutic device has already achieved widespread clinical scale application within Russia, with more than 200 units currently installed and operating in medical institutions at all levels across nearly 50 federal subjects of Russia. The successful popularization of this device at the clinical frontline not only fully confirms the reliability and urgent clinical demand for Russia's domestically produced, independently controllable high-end medical equipment, but also establishes a technical benchmark for further in-depth promotion to Perm and other regional healthcare systems.

In addition to the inhalation therapeutic device, Rosatom RDS also showcased at this conference a comprehensive set of solutions covering multiple clinical scenarios including nephrology, cardiovascular surgery, general surgery, rehabilitation medicine, X-ray radiology, and nuclear medicine, including the independently developed domestic hemodialysis machine "Satis" (Сатис / Satis), the plasma-chemical synthesis nitric oxide device "Tianox-KS" (Тианокс-КС), and various types of digital medical imaging ancillary devices.
