Fergana Region of Uzbekistan to Develop Roadmap for Cooperation with Rosatom in Nuclear Energy and Other Fields
On August 19, Khairullo Bozorov, Governor of Fergana Region of Uzbekistan, met with a delegation from Rosatom (the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation) locally. The delegation was led by Alexey Dremuchev, Director of Rosatom's Central Asia Regional Center.

During the talks, the two sides exchanged views on developing mutually beneficial cooperation, advancing potential investment projects, and localizing production. Rosatom presented its business portfolio in areas such as nuclear energy, mechanical engineering, nuclear medicine, digital technologies, and advanced materials production.
Both sides noted that Uzbekistan, particularly Fergana Region, has a favorable investment environment and industrial development potential. The talks also covered pilot projects in the healthcare sector, as well as potential cooperation in fuel and energy, energy storage, composite materials production, personnel training, and transport logistics.
The Fergana Region side expressed its willingness to support cooperation initiatives and projects that align with the interests of both parties. Following the meeting, the two sides agreed to develop a roadmap for priority cooperation areas and to advance the implementation of relevant projects based on subsequent concrete action plans.
