Huaneng Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Unit 4 Standardized Demonstration Zone Construction Achieves Phased Progress

To thoroughly implement the safety production directives from higher authorities and effectively enhance the visual management level of safe and civilized construction at Changjiang Nuclear Power Unit 4, on August 16, 2026, the special working group for the safe and civilized construction standardization demonstration zone of Huaneng Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Unit 4 went deep into the construction site to conduct a comprehensive inspection and guidance on the creation of the standardized demonstration zone for Unit 4.

The inspection was led by company leaders, with the participation of relevant responsible persons from the Engineering Management Department, Safety and Quality Assurance Department, as well as major construction participating units including CNNC 22 and CNNC 5.

The working group strictly followed the implementation plan, verifying item by item key aspects such as the setting of signage and labels in the demonstration zone, material fixed-position management, safety protection facilities, environmental sanitation conditions, and fire emergency preparedness. The inspection showed that the overall site layout was standardized, materials were stored in an orderly manner, protection facilities were complete, the working environment was clean, and various signs were clear and prominent, fully demonstrating the solid achievements of standardized and normalized management.

Since the launch of the first batch of standardized demonstration zones in May, all construction participating units have attached great importance and responded actively, strictly implementing various standardization measures in accordance with the requirements of the "Unit 4 Standardized Demonstration Zone Planning and Implementation Plan." Units such as CNNC 22 and CNNC 5 have made solid progress in their respective responsible areas, forming multiple "model areas" and "model processes" with demonstration and leading roles, setting benchmarks for safe and civilized construction across the entire site.

The inspection team fully affirmed the efforts and phased achievements of all construction participating units and pointed out that the construction of the standardized demonstration zone is a key lever for improving the management level of safe and civilized construction. All units should continue to maintain high standards and strict requirements, continuously consolidate existing achievements, strengthen dynamic management, and promote the standardization work toward normalization and long-term effectiveness.

In the next step, Huaneng Changjiang Nuclear Power Company will continue to work with all construction participating units to actively promote the quality improvement and scope expansion of the demonstration zone construction, continue to carry out monthly inspections and quarterly assessments, and strive to build Unit 4 into a standardized, normalized, and demonstration-leading visual model for nuclear power engineering, accumulating valuable experience that can be replicated and promoted for subsequent projects.
