Ukrainian Nuclear Energy Association and Energoatom Trade Union Expand Nuclear Energy Cooperation

On September 2, the Ukrainian Nuclear Energy Association (UkrYat) and the Primary Trade Union Organization of NNEGC Energoatom (PPO NNEGC Energoatom) signed an interaction and cooperation agreement, under which the parties will expand cooperation in nuclear industry development, employee rights protection, personnel training, and scientific and technological capacity building.

The agreement was signed by Volodymyr Kholosha, President of the Ukrainian Nuclear Energy Association, and Serhiy Snitkov, Chairman of the Primary Trade Union Organization of NNEGC Energoatom. Under the agreement, the parties will jointly promote the development of Ukraine's nuclear industry, safeguard the labor rights and socio-economic interests of industry professionals, and support human resources development in the sector.

Cooperation areas include scientific and technical exchange, experience sharing, and professional training. Trade union members will participate in scientific and technical conferences, seminars, and roundtable discussions organized by the Ukrainian Nuclear Energy Association, and will receive analytical and methodological materials on nuclear energy utilization, safety technologies, and related fields.

The parties also plan to strengthen youth talent development and career guidance by organizing educational activities, competitions, and youth programs at nuclear power plant sites for students, university students, and young professionals. In addition, cooperation will cover nuclear knowledge transfer, support for veteran industry experts, protection of professional rights, and cultural, sports, and healthy lifestyle initiatives for enterprise employees.

Kholosha stated that systematic exchange of information, scientific knowledge, and professional expertise is an important foundation for the development of Ukraine's nuclear industry. The Ukrainian Nuclear Energy Association's experience in industry outreach and technical support, combined with the mobilizational capacity of trade union organizations, will help create more opportunities for professionals and attract young talent to the nuclear energy sector.

Snitkov stated that the participation of experts and trade union activists in joint projects will help improve the efficiency and quality of relevant work. The parties will jointly safeguard the interests of nuclear energy professionals and promote the development of labor collectives.
