China Huaneng and CGN Hold Working Talks in Shenzhen to Deepen Cooperation in Nuclear Power and Other Fields
On August 18, Wen Shugang, Chairman and Party Secretary of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., and Zhong Guodong, President and Deputy Party Secretary, held working talks in Shenzhen with Yang Changli, Party Secretary and Chairman of China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN), and Pang Songtao, Deputy Party Secretary and President. Dong Changqing, Vice President and Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Group, and Cai Zhen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of CGN, attended the talks. Wen Shugang expressed gratitude to CGN for its long-term support to China Huaneng and briefed on the company's operations and development. He stated that China Huaneng is currently thoroughly implementing the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of China Huaneng's headquarters, ensuring that all work arrangements are carried out to the letter. Looking toward the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, China Huaneng is fully, accurately, and comprehensively implementing the new development philosophy, accelerating the construction of the "three pillars" of new energy, hydropower, and nuclear power, and promoting high-quality development to new heights. He expressed the hope that China Huaneng and CGN, building on their past sound cooperation, will continue to leverage their respective strengths, strengthen exchanges and deepen cooperation in areas such as nuclear power, new energy, and technological innovation, jointly making greater contributions to accelerating the construction of a new energy system and building a strong energy nation.
