China Isotope & Radiation Corporation (CIRC) Conducts Cooperation Exchange with Guangzhou Tianhe District

On July 29, a delegation led by Tan Minghe, Secretary of the Guangzhou Tianhe District Party Committee, visited China Isotope & Radiation Corporation (CIRC) and held a meeting with Xiao Yafei, Secretary of the CIRC Party Committee and Chairman. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the establishment of CIRC's isotope and irradiation subsidiaries in Guangzhou's Tianhe District.

Tan Minghe introduced the economic and social development of Tianhe District. He stated that as the central urban area and the top economic district of Guangzhou, Tianhe has ranked first in Guangzhou and among the top in the country for several consecutive years. Tianhe District has clearly included life and health as a key development track in modern urban industry, with nuclear medicine as a key focus area, which is highly aligned with isotope-related industries. Tianhe District will fully support the relocation of CIRC's isotope and irradiation subsidiaries to Guangzhou, providing high-quality business environment for their establishment and development. Yuan Xiaoyi, Deputy District Mayor of Tianhe, provided a detailed introduction on the development of the medical industry in Tianhe and the high compatibility of future industries such as nuclides and nuclear drugs with Tianhe's resources.

Xiao Yafei welcomed the visit of Tan Minghe and his delegation, and expressed gratitude for the trust and support from the Tianhe District Party Committee and Government. He stated that CIRC, as the main entity for nuclear technology application under the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), is a leading enterprise in the domestic nuclear technology application field. The relocation of CIRC's isotope and irradiation subsidiaries to Guangzhou is an important measure for CIRC to implement the spirit of the high-level meeting between Guangdong Province and CNNC on December 31, 2025, and a key step in the company's strategic layout for the "15th Five-Year Plan." CIRC will use Guangzhou as a strategic fulcrum to coordinate CNNC's isotope production capacity, build the most comprehensive and largest isotope R&D, transformation, and supply platform, and establish the second headquarters of CIRC based on this. In the future, the company will continue to increase capital and attract investment according to development needs, continuously expand the company's scale, and contribute to the high-quality development of the nuclear medical industry in Guangdong Province.
