CGN Launches "Chunhe Plan" and Digital Science Popularization Platform "Nuclear Harmony Planet"

On August 7, at the 14th "8·7 Public Open Experience Day" of CGN, CGN released the "Chunhe Plan," a long-term mechanism for publicly recruiting science popularization "nuclear partners," and simultaneously launched the "Nuclear Harmony Planet" mini-program, the first digital science popularization platform in China's nuclear power industry.

The "Chunhe Plan" aims to systematically expand the coverage scenarios of nuclear power science popularization and promote the accessibility of clean energy knowledge. Among its initiatives, villagers near nuclear power plants can become docents under the "Chunhe Dialect" program through training and assessment, earning compensation per service session; the "Chunhe Campus" program provides standardized training and certification for primary and secondary school teachers, equips them with dedicated teaching aids and course materials, and simultaneously opens up student study tour practice channels.

On the same day, CGN's various nuclear power bases and 12 schools near the projects completed cooperation agreements for "Nuclear Power Science Popularization into Schools," and for travel agencies and study tour institutions, the "Chunhe Cultural Tourism" plan opened up nuclear power tourism resources free of charge, jointly developing industrial tourism-themed study tour products.

In addition, for the general public, the "Chunhe Volunteer" plan opened up online registration and standardized training. After certification, volunteers can independently initiate or sign up to participate in various science popularization activities.

Huang Chao, Deputy Director of the Party and Mass Work Department of CGN, stated that in the future, CGN will continue to deepen the deep integration of nuclear power science popularization with local development, making nuclear power science popularization more open, more professional, and more down-to-earth, and promoting the comprehensive upgrade of nuclear power science popularization toward normalization, professionalization, and systematization.

Expanding from a single reservation tool to a full-chain science popularization service platform, the "Nuclear Harmony Planet" mini-program is upgraded based on the "Hardcore Walk" nuclear power industrial tourism reservation system, which has previously served over 60,000 person-times in total.

The reporter noted that in the "Nuclear Harmony Planet" mini-program, whether one wants to become a local dialect docent near home or become a study tour cultural tourism partner, they can apply by entering the "Chunhe Plan" section.

The online platform gathers popularity, while the offline industry turns that popularity into tangible revenue. On August 6, CGN held a special promotion event for industrial tourism resources and an industrial study tour cooperation matchmaking meeting.

It is reported that the "Nuclear-Fishery-Tourism" study tour project jointly developed by Yangjiang Nuclear Power and the local government has attracted over 43,000 students from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao to participate, generating nearly 700,000 yuan in revenue for the village collective of Yunpo Village, and driving over 1.8 million yuan in increased consumption in catering, accommodation, and other sectors in Dongping Town.

Yang Jianbing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Yangjiang Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., said: "Taking the opportunity of Yunpo Village's provincial-level rural revitalization demonstration village construction, Yangjiang Nuclear Power has worked with the local government to explore the distinctive 'Nuclear-Fishery-Tourism' path, and together with CGN's industrial companies in Yangjiang, signed three-year 'Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Project' industrial project contracts with four town-strengthening and village-enriching companies and village collective enterprises in Dongping Town, with a total amount exceeding 15 million yuan."

"In the past, tourists mainly came to Dongping for one-day short sightseeing and seafood tasting, resulting in a short consumption chain," said Guan Lina, Secretary of the Party Committee and Mayor of Dongping Town, Yangdong District, Yangjiang City. She added that after improving the overall cultural tourism layout relying on the nuclear power study tour IP, the length of tourists' stays has been significantly extended, completing the transformation from a tourism "transit point" to a "destination," effectively activating the coastal cultural tourism industry.

Gao Shunli, a member of the Expert Committee of the China Tourism Association, stated that CGN's launch of the "Chunhe Plan" this time, which proactively opens up nuclear power tourism resources, builds a dedicated matchmaking platform, and jointly develops themed study tour products, represents a systematic approach to promoting industrial cultural tourism that has demonstrative significance in the national industrial study tour field.
