Argentina's Nucleoeléctrica Argentina adjusts organizational structure to boost nuclear service exports

The Board of Directors of Nucleoeléctrica Argentina SA held a meeting on August 12, 2026, and approved Resolution No. 1018, authorizing adjustments to the company's organizational structure with a focus on supporting the development of new business units, particularly the export of specialized nuclear services to international markets.

This adjustment provides organizational support for the company's earlier formal incorporation of "provision of services to foreign nuclear facilities" into its corporate purpose. In recent years, the company has participated in projects and services related to nuclear facilities in Canada, Brazil, China, South Korea, and Spain, and has developed proprietary technological solutions applicable to CANDU reactors.

Under the new structure, the company's management will be reorganized, establishing an Executive Directorate to replace the current General Management Department. The Operations Department, Corporate Management Department, and Projects and Services Department will be unified under the Executive Directorate to strengthen business coordination and market expansion capabilities.

Nucleoeléctrica Argentina's President, Juan Martín Campos, stated that over the past 50-plus years, the company has accumulated substantial capabilities in technology, operations, and human resources, which currently hold value in the international market. The new organizational structure aims to export relevant expertise in a professional and sustainable manner, with dedicated commercial management and business development units established. He noted that this is not merely an administrative adjustment, but an organizational tool required for the company to convert Argentina's nuclear power plant experience into a source of foreign exchange and drive the internationalization of the industry.

The company also emphasized that nuclear power plant operations remain its top priority. The management systems, operating procedures, and nuclear safety regulations of the Atucha I Nuclear Power Plant, Atucha II Nuclear Power Plant, and Embalse Nuclear Power Plant will remain unchanged. The reorganization focuses primarily on the company's functional departments and the organizational framework responsible for export service operations.
