Symposium on Marine Radiation Monitoring and Emergency Response Technology Exchange Successfully Held
The Marine Center systematically presented its operational system, technical capabilities, and practical experience in the field of marine radiation monitoring and emergency response. The Jinan Zhongke Nuclear Technology Research Institute highlighted its core technology R&D achievements and industrialization progress in the field of nuclear safety monitoring. During the technical exchange session, the two sides focused their discussions on the core topic of "how to effectively reduce the detection limit of gamma nuclides in seawater using new detection technologies." Both parties agreed that by introducing high-sensitivity detectors, optimizing signal noise suppression algorithms, and innovating pretreatment processes, it is expected to break through existing technical bottlenecks and promote the practical implementation of advanced detection technologies in marine radiation monitoring and emergency response operations. In addition, the two sides also conducted thorough discussions on directions such as buoy-based online monitoring, nuclide diffusion simulation calculation, marine nuclide source tracing analysis, and monitoring equipment technology development.
As a next step, the Marine Center will take this exchange symposium as an opportunity to continuously deepen the integrated collaboration mechanism of industry, academia, research, and application, actively build cooperation platforms, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into operational applications, enhance the overall level and rapid response capability of China's marine nuclear emergency monitoring, and provide more solid technical support for safeguarding the safety of the marine ecological environment and public health.
