Putin Says Russian-Designed Nuclear Power Plant Will Provide Vietnam with Low-Cost Clean Electricity
On September 9, Russian President Putin said after talks with Vietnamese State President To Lam that, under the intergovernmental agreement signed by the two sides in March this year, the Russian-designed nuclear power plant project will be advanced for construction in Vietnam.

Putin said the project is a “flagship project” in Russia-Vietnam bilateral cooperation. After the nuclear power plant is completed in the future, it will be able to provide large amounts of reasonably priced, environmentally friendly energy to Vietnam's industrial users and residential households.
