CNNC High Energy Seminar Focuses on Quality Control of Domestic Radiotherapy Equipment, Multiple Parties Join Hands to Build Industry Standards

On September 21, in order to further promote the construction of a quality control system for domestic radiotherapy equipment, standardize clinical quality control work for Tomo equipment, and facilitate multi-party collaborative development among industry, academia, research, and medical institutions, CNNC High Energy organized a seminar on quality control standardization for radiotherapy equipment. The meeting brought together industry forces from multiple sectors. Professor Zhang Fuquan, President of the Radiotherapy Equipment Technology Branch of the China Association of Medical Equipment and of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, and Professor Qiu Jie, Vice President of the Radiotherapy Equipment Technology Branch of the China Association of Medical Equipment and of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, attended the meeting as clinical experts; management, technical, and business representatives from CNNC High Energy, CNNC Accuray, Shuimu Medical, Shuimu Lingrui, and other units attended the meeting together.

At the meeting, the attending representatives gave special reports on the current status of quality control for domestic radiotherapy equipment and the current status of quality control for Tomo equipment, systematically reviewing the development status, existing difficulties, and practical experience of current clinical quality control, and providing a reference basis for subsequent standardization efforts. During the expert exchange session, clinical experts held in-depth discussions on core topics such as the formulation of quality control standards for radiotherapy equipment, optimization of quality control processes, improvement of quality control capabilities for domestic equipment, and practical implementation of quality control for Tomo equipment, and exchanged views from multiple perspectives including actual clinical use needs, equipment technology research and development, and implementation of quality control testing, putting forward a number of constructive ideas and feasible suggestions.

After the discussion and exchange, a cooperation agreement signing ceremony was held on site. Representatives of CNNC High Energy and Shuimu Lingrui jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement, marking the official implementation of cooperation among medical, industrial, and research parties to jointly advance the standardization of quality control for radiotherapy equipment. This cooperation will fully leverage the practical experience of clinical experts, the technology research and development capabilities of equipment enterprises, and the professional advantages of quality control service institutions, concentrating efforts on improving the quality control system for radiotherapy equipment, supporting the high-quality development of domestic radiotherapy equipment, and safeguarding the safety and therapeutic efficacy of clinical radiotherapy.

Next, all parties will take this seminar and cooperation signing as an opportunity to continuously deepen multi-party collaboration, advance the standardization and normalization of quality control for radiotherapy equipment, establish a tiered quality control system, unify testing items, judgment standards, and management processes, achieve full life-cycle quality control of radiotherapy equipment, ensure the precision of radiotherapy doses and patient safety, and contribute to the high-quality development of China's tumor radiotherapy cause.
