Steam Generator for Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Phase II Unit 4 Manufactured by Harbin Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd. Successfully Shipped

On October 24, 2026, the steam generator for Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Phase II Unit 4, manufactured by HEPE, was successfully shipped. The steam generator for this unit successfully carried forward the good momentum of early delivery achieved for Unit 3, completing delivery 3 months ahead of the contractual delivery date. This marks the successful fulfillment of the "Hualong One" steam generator contract for Units 3 and 4 of Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Phase II, laying a solid foundation for a good start to the "15th Five-Year Plan" period with stable production capacity and outstanding quality.

The steam generator is the core equipment of the "Hualong One" nuclear power unit, undertaking the core functions of core energy conversion and ensuring stable power generation of the unit. A single steam generator weighs 370 tons, with sophisticated structure and complex manufacturing processes, featuring high manufacturing standards and stringent process parameters. The project faced tight schedules, heavy tasks, and enormous pressure in tackling batch production, testing HEPE's technical and process capabilities, quality control capabilities, production coordination capabilities, and team execution capabilities.

To efficiently and qualitatively accomplish the critical task, China National Nuclear Guodian Zhangzhou Energy Co., Ltd., China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute, and HEPE worked in close coordination, leveraging Party building to lead production efforts. A joint Party member task force for Zhangzhou steam generators was established. Relying on the deep integration mechanism of Party building with production and operations, resource sharing, complementary advantages, and collaborative efforts were achieved. The role of Party organizations as fighting fortresses and the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members were fully leveraged, forging a powerful synergy to overcome difficulties and providing solid organizational guarantees for winning the "product delivery battle."

Throughout the entire production process, HEPE consistently adhered to the principle of "safety first, quality first," truly embedding nuclear safety culture into HEPE's DNA. A full-process, full-chain quality risk control system was established, with refined procedures for machining, welding, inspection, and other processes, achieving traceability across the entire production process and controllability at every stage, strictly safeguarding the quality lifeline of nuclear power equipment. Meanwhile, HEPE continued to advance its transformation and upgrading toward high-end, intelligent, green, and integrated development, empowering production through the construction of a 5G fully-connected factory. With innovative processes, intelligent equipment, and refined management, HEPE resolved difficulties in batch production and cleared schedule bottlenecks, continuously improving the efficiency and quality of nuclear power equipment manufacturing. All cadres and employees united with concerted efforts and rose to challenges, advancing various production tasks with high standards and strict requirements, efficiently overcoming multiple difficulties such as parallel manufacturing of multiple products and compressed schedules, and winning this batch delivery battle. Building on the quality delivery achievements of Unit 3, HEPE once again set a new record for the batch supply cycle of "Hualong One" steam generators, demonstrating HEPE's outstanding nuclear power equipment manufacturing strength and efficient contract fulfillment capabilities. With this, the steam generators for Units 3 and 4 of Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Phase II achieved early and quality delivery, and HEPE successfully completed its batch production and contract fulfillment objectives. This achievement indicates that the company's batch manufacturing processes for "Hualong One" key equipment are increasingly mature and its production capacity guarantee system is continuously improving, further consolidating HEPE's leading position in the high-end manufacturing of domestic nuclear island main equipment, and laying a solid equipment foundation for the efficient advancement and smooth commissioning of the Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Phase II project.

As an important achievement in the opening year of the "15th Five-Year Plan," the early delivery of the steam generators for two units at Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant is not only a landmark progress for HEPE in deeply cultivating the clean energy equipment field, but also a powerful practice of actively implementing the national energy strategy, facilitating energy structure transformation, and serving the "dual carbon" goals.
