Recently, Shanghai Liangjing Wanwei Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Liangjing Technology”), a Chinese high-temperature superconducting materials industrialization enterprise, announced the consecutive completion of angel round, angel+ round, and Pre-A round financing totaling hundreds of millions of yuan. This round of financing was jointly led by Shenzhen Capital Group and China Reform Fund, with participation from China Nuclear Fund, CRRC Transformation and Upgrading Fund, Zijin Mining, and several other industrial and state-owned funds. The funds will be used for capacity expansion, research platform construction, and full-chain self-development of core equipment.

It is reported that Liangjing Technology was established in May 2025, with core technology originating from the team of Professor Li Yijie at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The company adopts an independent pulsed laser deposition (PLD) route, having achieved breakthroughs in the key links of superconducting target self-manufacturing, domestic substrate production, and independent design of complete equipment sets, reducing production line construction costs by more than 50%, and successfully establishing the first tape production line with an annual capacity of 3,000 kilometers, with plans to increase capacity to 6,000 kilometers per year by early 2027.

High-temperature superconducting materials possess zero resistance and high critical magnetic field characteristics, making them underlying key materials for strategic industries such as controllable nuclear fusion devices, superconducting power equipment, and AI data center power supply. Liangjing Technology has identified controllable nuclear fusion as its primary entry track. Currently, its products have completed sample delivery to the vast majority of domestic nuclear fusion enterprises and partial orders have been signed. Meanwhile, the team has also successfully developed the world's first hundred-meter-level iron-based superconducting tape, making a strategic layout for next-generation high-field superconducting materials.

As the large-scale procurement window in the nuclear fusion sector approaches in 2027, Liangjing Technology has achieved continuous online inspection of kilometer-level superconducting tapes under high-field conditions by breaking through the dual challenges of production efficiency and cost. The company is accelerating the advancement of domestic high-temperature superconducting materials from the laboratory to large-scale industrialization, providing solid support for the independent controllability of China's nuclear fusion and advanced energy equipment industrial chains.
