American Fusion Adds Six New Patent Applications for Texatron Fusion Technology

On August 6, American Fusion announced that it has filed six new patent applications in the United States covering multiple technical aspects of its proprietary Texatron Fusion Engine platform. This brings the company's total number of patent applications filed in the U.S. to 82.

American Fusion stated that these applications continue its strategy of building an intellectual property portfolio around the Texatron platform, covering reactor architecture, plasma confinement, electromagnetic systems, fuel delivery, reactor control, power management, and related engineering technologies supporting the continued development and future commercialization of the Texatron Fusion Engine.

The company's Chief Legal Officer, Michael G. Smith, stated that the six new applications reflect the company's systematic approach to protecting the core innovations of the Texatron platform. Each application corresponds to a specific technical direction, collectively forming part of its intellectual property layout for compact fusion energy technology.

The six newly filed U.S. patent applications include: Application No. 19/754,260, filed on July 26, 2026, titled "Fusion Confinement Device with Rifled Annular Chamber and Electronic Pulse Controller"; Application No. 19/755,767, filed on July 27, 2026, titled "Monolithic Fusion Confinement Device with Rifled Annular Chamber"; Application No. 19/755,778, filed on July 27, 2026, titled "Clamshell Fusion Confinement Device with Rifled Annular Chamber"; Application No. 19/755,781, filed on July 27, 2026, titled "Monolithic Fusion Confinement Device with Electronic Pulse Control"; Application No. 19/758,937, filed on July 30, 2026, titled "Rifled Annular Fusion System Architecture"; and Application No. 19/760,554, filed on July 30, 2026, titled "Monolithic Rifled Annular Fusion System Architecture".

In addition to its intellectual property layout, American Fusion also disclosed progress on corporate and engineering projects. The company has responded to the latest round of comments received on its Form 211 application and is currently awaiting subsequent approval results. The company stated that completing the Form 211 process is the final regulatory step required to qualify for quotation on the OTCQB market, though it must still satisfy applicable OTC Markets requirements.

In terms of engineering testing, American Fusion continues to prepare for the next phase of the Texatron test program being conducted at Texas Tech University. Based on engineering and diagnostic information collected during the earlier testing phase, the company's scientific and engineering teams will advance additional evaluation efforts, focusing on subsystem validation, control systems, ignition systems, fuel systems, plasma and magnetic field control systems, electronic components, and the ongoing calibration and validation of specialized test equipment.

The company stated that the next phase of testing will be used to further optimize system performance, expand the scope of engineering data collection, and support the Texatron Fusion Engine development in a phased manner. As with previous testing, the company will review and analyze relevant engineering and diagnostic information before releasing technical updates.

American Fusion's Chief Operating Officer, Dewight Cartwright, stated that the engineering team is steadily advancing preparations for the next phase of testing, with each round of testing helping to validate system performance, deepen understanding of the platform, and improve equipment and test procedures.

The company's Chief Technology Officer, Dr. John E. Brandenburg, stated that advanced energy technology development requires a rigorous and orderly engineering process, and the technical information gained from each testing phase will be used to guide subsequent development. The company expects to continue disclosing progress after reaching key milestones in intellectual property, engineering advancements, regulatory matters, and test plans.
