China Ports Association Visits Nuctech to Discuss Smart Port and Security Inspection Cooperation

On September 2, Xie Jun and Han Jian, Vice Presidents of the China Ports Association, led a delegation to Nuctech for a special visit and research. Chen Zhiqiang, Chief Scientist and Chairman of Nuctech, received the delegation. The two sides held discussions on topics including government-enterprise collaboration, smart port upgrading, industry standard development, and industrial innovation, reaching multiple consensuses on future cooperation directions.

Prior to the discussions, Chen Zhiqiang accompanied the China Ports Association delegation on a tour of the Nuctech New Vision Exhibition Hall, presenting the company's development history, core business, proprietary key technology systems, and related product applications in the port and customs sectors. The exhibition content covered application scenarios such as port security inspection, smart customs clearance, and intelligent prevention and control, reflecting Nuctech's technological expertise and practical experience in port-related businesses.

During the symposium, the China Ports Association introduced its functions, development layout, and key work priorities. The two sides exchanged views on the industry development landscape, tasks, and opportunities in the context of implementing the "15th Five-Year Plan" for Port Modernization. All participants agreed that port development in the new phase is advancing toward standardization, systematization, and intellectualization, requiring the integration of industry expert resources and corporate practical experience to promote the standardized and systematic development of smart ports.

Regarding the digitalization and intelligent transformation trends in the port industry, the China Ports Association suggested that Nuctech leverage its technological and scenario advantages to accelerate transformation and upgrading, expanding from a smart inspection equipment supplier to a comprehensive port solution service provider, while continuing to focus on application scenarios such as container inspection and intelligent port supervision to advance proprietary technological innovation.

Chen Zhiqiang stated that the China Ports Association plays an important role in policy interpretation, resource coordination, standard formulation, and government-enterprise connectivity. Nuctech will further participate in the Association's key initiatives and deepen regular, in-depth cooperation.

The China Ports Association expressed its hope for pragmatic cooperation with Nuctech in areas including think tank support services, formulation of port industry standards, cultivation of exemplary smart port cases, co-hosting of industry brand events, and promotion and application of cutting-edge technologies, jointly driving the port industry toward high-quality, modernized, and intelligent development.

Ma Haitao, Vice President of Nuctech; Yang Lijun, General Manager of the Domestic Customs Industry Center; Cao Dan, Director of the Investment and Cooperation Department; and relevant business personnel; along with Shen Wei, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Ports Association, and heads of the Association's Consulting Department and Exhibition Department, attended the symposium.
