SPIC Holds a Symposium for Non-Party Representative Figures

On September 29, SPIC held a symposium for non-Party representative figures to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thought on doing a good job in the Party's united front work in the new era and the spirit of his important speech at the symposium with non-Party figures, to solidly advance the implementation of the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee on united front work and the relevant work requirements of the Party Committee of SASAC, and to contribute SPIC's strength to the advancement of Chinese modernization. Liu Mingsheng, Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group and Chairman of SPIC, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Tian Yongzhong, Director and Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group, presided over the meeting.

The meeting pointed out

that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thought on doing a good job in the Party's united front work in the new era provides the fundamental guideline for doing a good job in united front work on the new journey in the new era and for giving full play to the powerful magic weapon role of the united front. The Leading Party Members Group of SPIC has resolutely implemented the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee on united front work, and has made sustained efforts in ideological guidance, team building, systematic training, and platform development, achieving positive results. Non-Party figures across the entire system have taken proactive action and contributed their strength in scientific and technological research, quality and efficiency improvement, and the performance of duties and offering of suggestions, demonstrating the contemporary style of SPIC people.

The meeting emphasized

that 2026 is the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the opening year of the "15th Five-Year Plan," and a critical year for the Group's reform and development. Party organizations at all levels of the Group must deeply understand the great significance of developing and expanding the patriotic united front in the new era, effectively enhance their sense of mission and responsibility, and broadly pool wisdom and strength for accelerating the building of a world-class clean energy enterprise. It is necessary to uphold the Party's overall leadership over united front work, consolidate responsibility for united front work, and continuously improve the great united front work pattern. It is necessary to strengthen the ideological and political guidance of non-Party figures, do a good job in building the ranks of non-Party representative figures, solidly carry out the themed activity of "Love the Enterprise, Offer Good Counsel, Make Contributions," build and strengthen suggestion and advice studios, and effectively serve the Group's high-quality development with high-quality united front work.

The meeting put forward four hopes for the Group's non-Party figures

First, focus on the central task of the Group's reform and development, actively perform duties, and bravely serve as vanguards in making contributions in one's post. Second, focus on the main path of science and technology, open up ideas, explore boldly, and dare to be pioneers in innovation breakthroughs. Third, focus on strategic planning, reform and innovation, conduct in-depth investigation and research, and strive to be a think tank for offering suggestions and advice. Fourth, focus on giving play to advantageous roles, strengthen extensive internal and external contacts, and be good liaisons who unite hearts and pool strength, jointly safeguarding the Group's good development situation of unity and forging ahead.

At the meeting, the Strategic Development Department reported on the Group's "15th Five-Year Plan" thinking. Twelve non-Party representative figures shared their experiences and put forward suggestions based on their actual posts, and actively offered suggestions and advice for promoting the implementation of the Group's "15th Five-Year Plan" and doing a high-quality job in united front work.

Chen Yan, Deputy Chief Economist of SPIC and Director of the Strategic Development Department, and responsible comrades from the General Office, the Human Resources Department, the Science and Technology Innovation Department, the Nuclear Energy Department, the Basic Industries Department, the Strategic Emerging Industries Department, the Party Building Department, the Publicity Department, and the Trade Union Work Department attended the meeting.
