From October 12 to 14, the finals of the Second National Team Leader Competition, National Defense Science and Technology Track, successfully concluded in Shanghai. Contestants from China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) delivered outstanding performances, winning a total of 3 first prizes, 5 second prizes, and 4 third prizes. Meanwhile, the Trade Union Directly Under CNNC was awarded the Excellent Organization Award of the competition.

It is understood that this competition was hosted by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and jointly organized by the China National Defense, Posts and Telecommunications Workers' Union, the Shanghai Municipal Trade Union Council, and CNNC. As an important measure of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions to deepen the reform of the industrial workforce development, the National Defense Science and Technology Track of this competition attracted a total of 70,274 team leaders to register and participate, among whom 14,260 were from CNNC. After preliminary selection, 200 outstanding team leaders from fields including the nuclear industry, aerospace, aviation, shipbuilding, ordnance, and electronics successfully advanced to the finals.

In terms of the specific competition format and evaluation dimensions, the finals closely followed the direction of digital, intelligent, and lean transformation in the national defense science and technology industry, with three major competition events focusing on case analysis, digital twin simulation scenarios, and artificial intelligence application capabilities. The competition systematically assessed team leaders' comprehensive abilities in plan decomposition, production organization, safety control, process quality, team management, and artificial intelligence (AI) application, adhering to the principle of "promoting learning through competition and promoting training through competition," aiming to forge a team leader workforce with solid qualities and strong management and governance capabilities.

CNNC has always regarded team building as a fundamental project supporting the implementation of corporate strategy, and has routinely promoted the deep integration of new technologies such as digital twins and artificial intelligence into frontline teams. CNNC stated that it will take this competition as an opportunity to continue deepening the reform of the industrial workforce development, transform the hard skills honed through competition into practical capabilities for developing new quality productive forces, accelerate the cultivation of a knowledge-based, skill-based, and innovation-oriented team leader workforce, and contribute nuclear power strength to the high-quality development of the national defense science and technology industry.
