UK's InHealth Deploys Europe's First Mobile Biograph Trinion PET/CT System
InHealth, a UK independent diagnostic service provider, has recently completed the first patient scan using Europe's first mobile Biograph Trinion PET/CT system. The system, supplied by Siemens Healthineers, is now in clinical use at Wrexham Maelor Hospital in northeast Wales to support cancer-related molecular imaging examinations.

PET/CT is an important imaging technology in oncology diagnosis and treatment, applicable to the diagnosis, staging, treatment planning, and therapy response monitoring of various cancer types. Deploying the Biograph Trinion PET/CT system on a mobile platform means that advanced molecular imaging services can be delivered into clinical settings with greater flexibility, helping to improve patient convenience in accessing specialist diagnostic services and responding to the growing demand for PET/CT examinations in the UK.
According to reports, the Biograph Trinion PET/CT system is a next-generation molecular imaging platform designed for high-performance imaging and efficient clinical workflows. The system incorporates FlowMotion technology, which enables continuous table movement during image acquisition to support consistent image quality across different examination protocols. Additionally, the system is equipped with the myExam Companion AI workflow assistant, which standardizes scan preparation and acquisition processes, reduces variability between different operators, and simplifies routine operations.
InHealth stated that combining the latest PET/CT technology with a mobile service model enables patients to access advanced molecular imaging examinations more conveniently and helps healthcare providers deliver high-quality diagnostic results in a timely manner. Siemens Healthineers stated that as demand for molecular imaging continues to grow, introducing the Biograph Trinion into a mobile environment helps healthcare providers expand service capacity, allowing more patients to receive cancer imaging diagnostic services closer to where they live.
