Russian radiation safety instrument manufacturer "Doza" Research and Production Enterprise congratulates Department No. 1 of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute on the 75th anniversary of its founding
National Research Nuclear University MEPhI held a grand ceremony on October 2 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of its historic Department No. 1——"Department of Radiation Physics and Safety of Nuclear Technologies." Several experts from the renowned Russian radiation safety monitoring system research, development, and manufacturing enterprise "Doza" Research and Production Enterprise (NPP Doza), who serve both as key technical personnel of the company and as faculty members at the university, were invited to attend the event.

As a major center for training professional and technical personnel for Russia's nuclear industry, the department has for the past three-quarters of a century consistently focused on scientific research innovation and higher engineering education in the fields of radiation physics and safety of nuclear technologies. The large number of engineering and technical personnel and scientists it has trained are now widely distributed across key business positions at nuclear power plants, nuclear fuel cycle enterprises, defense-related nuclear facilities, and high-tech research institutes throughout Russia, becoming the backbone supporting the safe operation of Russia's national nuclear industry.
In the ceremonial address, Yury Martynyuk, Scientific Director of "Doza" Research and Production Enterprise and Associate Professor of the department, highly praised the historic contributions of Department No. 1 in establishing and developing Russia's indigenous radiation safety scientific school, and reviewed the foundational role the department has played in supplying high-quality nuclear industry professionals in a targeted manner. Since 2021, Associate Professor Martynyuk and Yury Teverovsky, head of the research group at "Doza" Research and Production Enterprise and Senior Lecturer of the department, have continuously participated deeply in the implementation of the department's teaching programs and the delivery of core courses, feeding practical radiation monitoring engineering experience from the industrial frontline back into university talent cultivation.
"Doza" Research and Production Enterprise has deep historical ties with the department. As a leading enterprise in the field of Russian radiation monitoring instruments, the founder of "Doza" company, Kubeysin Nurlybaev, graduated from this department in his early years. Today, through bridges such as technical backbone personnel serving as part-time faculty, joint scientific research tackling of key problems, and internship base construction, both sides continue to deepen the university-enterprise collaborative education mechanism. At this anniversary celebration, Martynyuk and Teverovsky were formally awarded honorary certificates of commendation for their years of dedicated teaching achievements and outstanding contributions in the field of joint nuclear power talent cultivation.
Founded in 1991, "Doza" Research and Production Enterprise is a specialized supplier in the field of radiation safety instruments and complete system engineering. Its main business covers the independent design and manufacture of fixed and automated radiation monitoring systems (Automated Radiation Monitoring Systems, ARMS) and criticality accident alarm systems (Criticality Accident Alarm Systems, CAAS) for nuclear power plants, as well as the development and integrated supply of hardware instruments such as high-precision personal dosimeters, radiometers, and spectrometers. The technical equipment developed by the enterprise not only complies with Russian national standards and relevant International Atomic Energy Agency regulations, but its products have now been successfully put into operation in nuclear energy and industrial enterprises in more than 50 countries.
