Eagle Nuclear Energy Announces Discovery of Largest Uranium Deposit in the United States

Eagle Nuclear claims to have discovered the largest uranium deposit in the United States, located at the border of Oregon and Nevada. The company states that it holds an interest in the "Aurora" Project, which is the largest conventional uranium deposit in the U.S. classified under measured and indicated standards. The deposit currently contains 32.75 million pounds of indicated resources and 4.98 million pounds of inferred resources, compliant with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) S-K 1300 standards. Eagle Nuclear is submitting permit applications for drilling plans to federal and state regulators, targeting completion of a feasibility study in the second half of 2027.

Following its recent public market listing, the company has strengthened its technical team, added the Yukuskokon Professional Services advisory team, and expanded its existing agreements with BBA USA and SLR International. These efforts are aimed at helping the company implement its drilling program and related permitting processes. Eagle Nuclear is in a sound financial position, with a cash balance of approximately $28 million as of the second quarter of 2026 and no interest-bearing debt.

The United States currently operates the world's largest fleet of nuclear reactors, but relies primarily on imports for the uranium feedstock it requires. The Washington government has added uranium to the federal list of critical minerals and is actively promoting the rebuilding of a domestic fuel supply chain, making domestic uranium resources increasingly strategically significant. Eagle Nuclear's discovery comes at a time when the U.S. is working to revive nuclear power, such as the Prometheus nuclear AI project involving 32 partners, as well as plans by Holtec, Entergy, and Hyundai to deploy SMR-300 reactors in the United States.

In addition to the "Aurora" uranium deposit, Eagle Nuclear also holds exclusive rights to its proprietary small modular reactor (SMR) technology, positioning the company across all segments of the value chain, from fuel extraction to reactor technology. The company's statements and financial information are derived from information released by Eagle Nuclear Energy and regulatory filings submitted to the SEC. It is worth noting that the drilling program related to the feasibility study has not yet commenced, which remains a prerequisite step for the project's final investment decision.
