Module 4 of Steel Liner for Unit 3 of San'ao Nuclear Power Plant Successfully Hoisted
On August 15 at 8:16 a.m.,the hoisting operation of Module 4 of the 3BRX steel liner for Unit 3 of the San'ao Nuclear Power Plant was officially launched.Under the stable operation of the 2,000-ton crawler crane of CNNC Machinery Engineering, the module successively completed a series of procedures including slewing, load-bearing travel, and alignment adjustment, and after 220 minutes, the hoisting task was successfully completed.

Module 4 of Unit 3 hoisted this time was integrally assembled from the fourth and fifth layers of the cylinder, with a diameter of approximately 45 meters and a height of 11.46 meters. The module features a large volume, susceptibility to deformation, and limited slewing space for the crane. The project team strictly implemented the special plan, completed site reinforcement, transport of baskets and counterweights, and crawler crane relocation in advance, organized hoisting simulation drills, and comprehensively inspected various safety hazards.

The project team fully drew on mature experience from similar hoisting operations:
Targeting key risk points such as truss pins, rigging attachment, and coordination with intersecting tower cranes, control measures were optimized and improved in advance, and various safeguard measures were strictly implemented, including pre-shift personnel status checks, fall protection with safety harnesses for work at height, and anti-collision protection for finished products.

During the hoisting operation, real-time communication, verification, and record-keeping of four key data points—on-site wind speed, foundation settlement, equipment load, and component attitude—were carried out in coordination with upstream entities and all participating construction units, ensuring integrated control over both safety and quality objectives.
In the future, the project team will always adhere to the safety philosophy of "Safety First, Zero Failure," closely follow the work goal of "Pursuing Excellence · Breaking New Ground through Reform," and continue to overcome construction challenges with a style of bold responsibility, innovative thinking, and effective execution, making new contributions to the high-quality development of the nuclear industry!
