CFHI and Shanghai Electric Hold Talks to Advance Cooperation in Nuclear Power Equipment and Other Fields

On August 17, Lu Zhiqiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China First Heavy Industries (CFHI), met with Wu Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group, and his delegation at CFHI. The two sides held discussions on further deepening strategic cooperation, focusing on exchanging views on cooperation in fields such as metallurgical equipment, high-end materials, nuclear power equipment, new energy wind power, scientific research and development, and industrial chain synergy.

Lu Zhiqiang welcomed Wu Lei and his delegation and expressed gratitude to Shanghai Electric for its long-standing support to CFHI. He stated that CFHI will continue to focus on its primary responsibility of equipment manufacturing, coordinate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and thoroughly implement the "1235" development strategy. He expressed hope that both sides will further expand cooperation areas on the existing foundation, strengthen industrial chain synergy, promote complementary advantages and collaborative innovation, and serve the nation's major needs with higher-quality value creation.

Wu Lei introduced Shanghai Electric's recent developments over the past two years in high-end equipment, intelligent manufacturing, and green energy. He stated that Shanghai Electric adheres to scientific and technological innovation as its core driving force and continues to deepen strategic collaboration. He expressed hope that both sides will take this exchange as an opportunity to strengthen project advancement and talent cultivation linkage, build a development pattern featuring supply chain synergy, industrial chain synergy, and research collaboration, jointly safeguard the security of industrial and supply chains, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the high-end equipment industry.

Before the talks, Wu Lei and his delegation visited the CFHI Exhibition Hall and some production and manufacturing sites to learn about CFHI's development history, industrial layout, and latest achievements. Zhang Hao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of CFHI, Jin Xiaolong, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shanghai Electric, and relevant responsible personnel from both sides attended the activities.
