CIRP's "Dragon Realm" Series Advances Digital Upgrade of Radiation Protection for Nuclear Facilities

The "Dragon Realm" series is a digital radiation protection system product independently developed by CIRP, refined over more than a decade of accumulation, based on the on-site radiation protection needs of nuclear facilities. It integrates radiation field visualization, real-time monitoring, and intelligent management and control, providing core technical support for the digital transformation of radiation protection in nuclear facilities.
Dragon Realm One focuses on "seeing." It recreates the radiation environment of nuclear facilities in three-dimensional digital form, integrating scene roaming and operational simulation to make radiation risks perceivable and tangible, providing an intuitive basis for protection decision-making.

Radiation field visualization: establishes a mapping relationship between dose rate and color in the radiation field, achieving 3D visualization of the radiation field.

Simulation roaming: supports character roaming from first/third-person perspectives for browsing 3D models.

Operational plan simulation and personnel dose assessment: based on the visualized 3D radiation field, conducts simulation of different operational plans for high-radiation-risk tasks, with real-time and dynamic assessment of personnel operational doses, and optimization through plan comparison and selection.
Currently, Dragon Realm One is being deployed and promoted across 23 nuclear power units of CNNC, laying the foundational platform for the digitalization of radiation protection.

Dragon Realm Two focuses on "seeing clearly." It has completed the digital upgrade and transformation of key radiation monitoring equipment and systems for personal dose monitoring, area radiation monitoring, and contamination measurement at controlled area access points, building a real-time data aggregation platform covering the entire process of personnel entering and exiting controlled areas, achieving a complete closed loop from data collection to situational awareness.
Dragon Realm Two is like upgrading radiation monitoring from an "old-fashioned landline" to a "5G smartphone" — before, you could only make calls (measure radiation), with poor signals and few stations; now, you can not only have real-time video calls (real-time data) and precise navigation and positioning (point layout and positioning), but also browse social feeds for related updates (multi-data correlation distribution), and even join work group chats with one click (integration with workflows).

Comprehensive digital upgrade of radiation monitoring equipment, opening up the full-chain data channel for radiation protection
Dragon Realm Two has been tested at the Hainan Nuclear Power Unit 1 overhaul site, and pilot deployment has been completed in certain areas of Huaneng Changjiang Nuclear Power Unit 3. The 5G-based intelligent radiation monitoring system has been officially put into service during the overhaul at Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant Phase II.
From "seeing" to "seeing clearly," the "Dragon Realm" system is building an independent and controllable radiation protection capability system, driving radiation protection toward full intelligence and providing solid support for the safe and efficient operation of nuclear power.
