South Korea's Woori Technology Wins Supply Contract for Control Systems for Kori Nuclear Power Plant Units 3 and 4
Woori Technology announced on August 20 that it has signed a supply contract with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) to provide equipment and technical support for the Plant Monitoring System (PMS) facility improvement project for Units 3 and 4 of the Kori Nuclear Power Plant.

According to the disclosed information, the contract amount is KRW 8.4726 billion, approximately KRW 8.5 billion, excluding value-added tax, accounting for 9.72% of Woori Technology's consolidated sales in 2025. The contract period runs from August 19, 2026 to February 21, 2028, with sales and supply limited to South Korea, and the supply method is in-house production.
Under the contract arrangement, Woori Technology will provide a Data Acquisition System (DAS) for the monitoring systems of Units 3 and 4 at the Kori Nuclear Power Plant, and will be responsible for system construction and technical support. The project aims to improve the plant's control and instrumentation systems, enhance monitoring accuracy for key facilities, and stably collect, store, and manage operational data.
In nuclear power plant operations, PMS is primarily used for real-time monitoring and analysis of the operating status of major plant systems and equipment; DAS is responsible for collecting and storing in-plant measurement data and operational data, providing a basis for identifying abnormal signs and supporting maintenance decisions. Since these systems are directly related to the operational reliability of the plant's control and instrumentation systems, this field requires high levels of equipment reliability, engineering implementation experience, and quality control.
Woori Technology primarily engages in business related to Man-Machine Interface Systems (MMIS) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for nuclear power plants. The company stated that its order backlog at the end of the first quarter of this year reached KRW 100.4 billion, up 12% year-on-year. Previously, Woori Technology also won supply contracts for PMS and DAS systems for Units 1 and 2 of the Hanul Nuclear Power Plant, with a contract amount of KRW 9.2 billion. The company stated that it will support the enhancement of nuclear power plant safety and operational reliability through quality control and project execution.
