To comprehensively standardize data management for the national radiation monitoring network, unify implementation standards across provinces, solidify the foundation of monitoring data quality, and ensure the effective, detailed implementation of the latest management requirements, the Radiation Environmental Monitoring Technical Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment recently organized an online training session to disseminate these requirements. A total of 516 participants attended, including relevant officials and key technical staff from regional nuclear and radiation safety supervision stations and radiation environmental monitoring agencies across 31 provinces.

Prior to the training, guided by the principles of "problem-orientation" and "prioritizing needs," the Center conducted a nationwide survey among provincial agencies. This initiative gathered extensive feedback from frontline personnel regarding the implementation of data management requirements, operational workflows, challenges and bottlenecks, and suggestions for optimization. The collected responses were meticulously reviewed, summarized, and analyzed, providing a solid data foundation and operational basis for the targeted dissemination and precise Q&A sessions that followed.

During the training, the Center provided a comprehensive review of the current state of data management for the national network. It conducted an in-depth analysis of prominent issues and weak links in processes such as data acquisition, review and submission, and quality control verification, outlining clear pathways for local agencies to address deficiencies and improve data quality. Subsequently, the Center delivered a systematic presentation covering the latest requirements, core content, operational details, and key considerations. This session integrated practical case studies with frequently raised issues and specific concerns identified during the survey, effectively helping participating units master the technical essentials.

This training established a closed-loop workflow—comprising preliminary surveys, requirement dissemination, precise Q&A, and performance improvement—thereby powerfully driving the accurate implementation of the latest data management standards.

Moving forward, the Radiation Environmental Monitoring Technical Center will continue to monitor the implementation of these requirements, provide ongoing technical guidance, optimize the national network's data management system, and strictly ensure monitoring data quality, ultimately empowering the industry's high-quality development through standardized and regulated management.
