Professor Liu Xiaodong and his delegation from East China University of Technology visited the CNNC Western Geological Exploration Center for exchanges and guidance.

On July 24, a five-member delegation led by Professors Liu Xiaodong and Pan Jiayong from East China University of Technology visited the CNNC Western Geological Exploration Center for professional exchanges. Wang Leli (Party Secretary), Wang Gui (Director), and Wang Jiangbo (Chief Engineer) of the Western Center, along with heads of relevant operational departments, attended the meeting.

Wang Leli extended a warm welcome to the expert team from East China University of Technology. He outlined the Center's current layout for uranium geological exploration, project progress, and plans for scientific and technological innovation. He also detailed the exploration status in key regions—including Gansu, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Qinghai—and expressed hope that, by leveraging the university's strong geological research capabilities, the two sides could deepen industry-academia-research collaboration and jointly overcome technical challenges in deep-seated uranium exploration. Professors Liu and Pan highlighted the university's strengths in the field of uranium geology—specifically regarding discipline development, research achievements, and talent cultivation—and expressed their anticipation for continued, pragmatic cooperation with the Western Center, aiming to advance joint research efforts aligned with national strategic needs for uranium resources.

Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions regarding uranium exploration prospects in the Center's key operational areas. They exchanged views on critical aspects such as metallogenic conditions, exploration strategies, and technical methodologies for the Jianshui (Yunnan), Zunyi (Guizhou), and Longnan (Gansu) regions.

The two parties reached a consensus to further streamline communication mechanisms and implement multi-dimensional cooperation—encompassing project collaboration, scientific innovation, and talent exchange—thereby jointly facilitating new breakthroughs in uranium exploration across Southwest and Northwest my country.
