American Fusion Company Launches Texatron Test Program at Texas Tech University

American Fusion Company announced on July 29 that, after completing preliminary laboratory preparations and verifying the remote ignition system, the company has launched the Texatron test program at Texas Tech University. The company is the developer of proprietary technologies related to the Texatron fusion engine.

According to the company, a total of seven members of the American Fusion engineering and scientific team conducted a one-day preparation session at the research facilities of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Texas Tech University. The activities included laboratory environment setup, inspection of instrumentation and supporting systems, system interface verification, and assessment of the Texatron platform's operational readiness. The team completed the planned tasks for the first day.

The company also completed testing of the Texatron remote ignition system. This system is used for precise, repeatable, and safe initiation of experimental plasma pulse sequences, and supports remote operation by personnel. American Fusion Company stated that the verification of the remote ignition system is a critical engineering step prior to subsequent experimental evaluation of the Texatron platform.

As planned, this round of testing is expected to last one week, with subsequent work including subsystem verification, calibration, engineering measurements, diagnostics, and experimental evaluation. The specific schedule will depend on the laboratory's calendar and equipment operational readiness. The company indicated that relevant technical information will be released to the public only after data has been measured, reviewed, and properly verified.

Dwight Cartwright, Chief Operating Officer of American Fusion Company, stated that the team has completed first-day tasks including laboratory environment preparation, verification of instrumentation and system interfaces, and testing of the remote ignition system. The facilities and technical support at Texas Tech University have provided the experimental conditions for the Texatron development project.

Dr. John E. Brandenburg, Chief Technology Officer of American Fusion Company and inventor of Texatron, stated that the technology has entered the experimental evaluation phase after nearly a decade of development. The company will analyze, independently verify, and internally review the experimental data obtained before deciding whether to release the relevant results.

American Fusion Company stated that the current test program marks the beginning of a comprehensive engineering and scientific evaluation of the Texatron platform. Subsequent work will focus on subsystem verification, calibration, diagnostic measurements, and experimental testing to assess the platform's repeatability, reliability, and operational consistency. The company plans to continue releasing progress updates upon achieving significant milestones and after technical data has been reviewed and validated.
