Acceptance Inspection Completed for Auxiliary Pump Equipment at Egypt's El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant

This quality control work was carried out from June 18 to July 21, 2026, fulfilling the supply obligations of SpetsAtomResurs LLC under the agreement concluded with JSC Atomstroyexport, the general contractor for the nuclear power plant construction. The equipment manufacturing and verification work was implemented in accordance with the established quality plan.
The joint inspection committee comprised representatives of the developer and manufacturer SpetsAtomResurs LLC, the authorized body JSC Rusatom Technical Certification, and the customer's regulatory authority, the Egyptian Nuclear Power Plants Authority (NPPA). The contract batch under inspection included five feed pumps and one motor-driven pump.
During the inspection, the prototype equipment underwent acceptance testing at SpetsAtomResurs LLC's dedicated test facilities. The test results demonstrated that the actual hydraulic parameters of the equipment were consistent with the design parameters, meeting the design specification requirements. Committee members subsequently signed the acceptance test certificates, and the remaining production pumps in the contract batch also passed the corresponding acceptance tests.
Upon completion of the tests, the committee conducted a final review of the accompanying technical documentation and inspected the equipment preservation condition, identification markings, and the reliability of transport packaging to meet the logistics requirements for subsequent shipment to the El Dabaa nuclear power plant construction site. In accordance with the inspection procedure, all parties completed and signed the planned equipment documentation required by the customer, and six acceptance inspection certificates were issued and verified for the entire batch of equipment.
The closure of this control point indicates that the aforementioned pump equipment is ready for integration into the technical systems of the four units at the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant. El Dabaa is Egypt's first nuclear power project, and equipment acceptance and quality control are among the key stages in the unit construction process.
