Dodza Completes Equipping of SKIF Shared Center with Automated Radiation Monitoring System

According to news dated August 13, Dodza Nuclear Power Plant has completed the work to equip the Siberian Circular Photon Source Shared Center (SKIF Shared Center) with an automated radiation monitoring system (ARMS). The system will be used for continuous monitoring of the radiation conditions inside the center.

The project has been implemented in stages since 2024, covering the main facilities of the SKIF Shared Center, including the injector, storage ring building, and multiple experimental stations. The newly built system features more than 300 monitoring points, enabling continuous monitoring of the radiation environment during facility operation.

Under the project arrangement, Dodza Nuclear Power Plant is responsible for equipment supply and supervision of installation and commissioning; equipment installation, commissioning, and the installation and configuration of the top-level system software have also been completed at the experimental stations. The equipment put into operation this time includes DBN-A03D pulsed neutron radiation dosimeters, UDMN-100 and UDKS-100D detectors, as well as other related equipment manufactured by Dodza Nuclear Power Plant.

The Pelican top-level software used with the system was developed by Dodza Nuclear Power Plant specifically for the Russian Astra Linux operating system, enabling the collection, processing, storage, and visualization of monitoring data, as well as monitoring of the system hardware status.

At present, the relevant work has been completed and all necessary tests have been passed, and the system is ready for operation.

The Siberian Circular Photon Source is a fourth-generation+ synchrotron radiation facility with an electron beam energy of 3 GeV. The complex consists of 34 buildings and structures, covering engineering and technical infrastructure and experimental stations. Its storage ring has a circumference of 476 meters and an emittance of 75 pm·rad.
